Visit ASunStore.com for Championship Apparel Friday, May 13, 2011 SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Campbell starting pitcher Brittany Arnn (7-8) went the distance, allowing just two hits, two walks and struck out three as the Camels eliminated Mercer, 3-0, on Friday afternoon in the 2011 Atlantic Sun Conference Championship. The shutout was the first of Arnn's career and her second career complete game. Campbell (32-27) got all the offense it needed in the first inning as the Camels tallied two runs in the first. Taylor McGee singled through the left side allowing Amanda Miller to score the game’s first run. Following the single, Katie Hinton doubled to the gap in left center allowing McGee to come all the way around to score. Mercer’s (32-24) starting pitcher Kassie Bailey (4-3) took the loss after pitching just two-thirds of an inning, allowing two runs on two hits. Campbell will again look to fight off elimination as it will battle Lipscomb at 5:30 p.m. for a spot in tomorrow’s championship game against No. 1 Jacksonville.
