NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Lipscomb secured its second win of the 2013 Atlantic Sun Championship in dramatic fashion with a 3-1 win vs. A-Sun Regular Season Champion North Florida in extra innings.

This is the second game in a row the Bisons have won in the eighth inning after they defeated Kennesaw State in the night cap game of the A-Sun Championship on Wednesday.

Lipscomb improved to 34-22 on the season and will face No. 2 USC Upstate at 12:30 p.m. on Friday.

A-Sun Pitcher of the Year, Kaylie Wallace was unstoppable early on as she pitched three hit-less innings to start the game. LU's Gracey Aguirre grabbed the Bisons first hit of the game with a solo home run in the fourth to tie the game 1-1.

Lipscomb's Kristen Sturdivant hit a ball deep in the second inning as North Florida's center fielder Danica Mandarano stole the home run with a reaching catch over the fence.

The Bisons Heather Parker pitched three innings of relief to earn her 15th win of the season. Parker battled though the seventh inning to strike out Mariah Reynolds to send the game into extra innings.

To jump start the Bisons in the eighth inning Heather Montgomery hit a double. Brittany Elmore hit Montgomery home for the go ahead run in the game.
