Nashville, TN - The Lady Bisons narrowly lost to Florida Gulf Coast 4-3 in the first half of the doubleheader this evening at Draper Diamond.
The A-Sun Game of the Week featured a back and forth battle between the top two teams in the league.
Florida Gulf Coast went up first in the top of the third inning when the Lady Bisons loaded the bases and allowed Eagle freshman Courtney Platt to score unearned.
The Lady Bisons tied the game with two outs in the bottom of the inning, when senior shortstop Sarah Simons reached on a walk and scored when sophomore shortstop Abby Keese laid down an RBI double off the left field fence.
In the top of the next inning the Eagles would again load the bases allowing pinch runner Paige Raulerson to score from third when LeeAnne McDowell, pinch hitting for centerfielder Jessica Gary grounded out to second base.
