FGCU Remains in the Ultimate College Softball Top 25

FORT MYERS, Fla. - The Florida Gulf Coast University softball team is ranked 21th in the nation in the latest Ultimate College Softball poll. The poll was released late Monday night (April 6).

The Eagles (40-6) have moved down two spots in the poll after being ranked 19th in last week’s poll, which was the program’s fourth-ever Division I ranking. The FGCU softball team recently finished 3-1 last weekend after facing both Mercer and Kennesaw State in double header action. The Eagles have now won 32 of their last 34 games.

The FGCU softball team also received 20 votes in this week's ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll the Amateur Softball Association announced on Tuesday.

This is the fifth time that the Eagles have earned votes in the ESPN.com national poll.

The Eagles, who lead the A-Sun in every offensive category, are off until April 15 when they host the Golden Panthers of FIU for a doubleheader. The first pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m.
