JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - After leading Northwest (Wash.) University to three straight winning seasons, including a 28-4 record in 2005, Shaun Kupferberg takes the helm of the JU volleyball program on Wednesday.

In five seasons at Northwest, Kupferberg turned a dormant program into a regional and national power, finishing this past year ranked #18 in the country and second in the region. He finished his tenure at Northwest with a 91-52 overall record, going 55-33 in conference play.

"I feel very fortunate to have found a coach of Shaun's caliber," said JU director of athletics Alan Verlander. "He brings a unique way of coaching volleyball to our institution. He is a tireless worker who will build upon our program's proud tradition and continue to make JU a perennial contender in the Atlantic Sun Conference."
