Campbell Camels

Campbell continues its 10-match road trip this weekend at the Georgetown Invitational. Freshmen Asheley Weers and Sarah Hill rank 2nd and 3rd on the team in kills Melissa Harvey leads the team in digs. The Camels have dropped 12 of their last 13 games after winning six straight.

ETSU Bucaneers

The Lady Bucs are off to a 4-2 start for the second consecutive year as they prepare to host the Lady Buc Volleyball Classic, featuring a strong field of Furman, Evansville and defending Big South champion Winthrop. Senior Nani Emerson has been outstanding directing the Lady Buc attack in 2006, dishing out 279 assists through the first six matches.

Mercer Bears

The Bears (2-4) competed in the Bama Bash in Tuscaloosa, Ala., this past weekend. Mercer fell to Alabama, 3-1, and Wisconsin-Milwaukee, 3-0, on Friday, and grabbed the five-game win against Ball State on Saturday. Freshman Jen Darty found herself in the starting lineup at the Bama Bash last weekend. Against Ball State, Darty had a perfect hitting game, recording no errors on her 22 attempts and producing 13 kills to grab her first collegiate double-double. Two other Bears recorded double-doubles in the match against Ball State. Sophomore Karen Dorris racked up 15 kills and 12 digs and junior Julie Darty had 13 kills and 10 digs.

UNF Ospreys

The Lady Ospreys swept through the competition over the weekend at the 11th Annual UNF Labor Day Classic, upending Appalachian State, Murray State and Idaho State. Maegan Weisert was named the tournament MVP after posting three double-doubles. She now has five straight double-doubles this season ... Emily Kohler and Tara Taylor were each named to the all-tournament team . Taylor had record-setting match against Murray State, tallying 42 digs, which is a school record. After opening the season with a .157 hitting percentage in its first four matches, UNF hit .207 over the weekend. UNF blanked Idaho State on Saturday night, its first shutout of the season.
