Belmont Bruins

Belmont recorded a 2-1 record this past week, with wins over Tennessee Tech and Kennesaw State and a loss at ETSU. Sophomore Cat Mundy paced the Bruins with 42 kills over the three matches. She continues to lead the Atlantic Sun in kills per match (4.05). Despite the five game loss to ETSU Friday, Belmont leads the Atlantic Sun in several statistical categories, including hitting percentage (.294 in league matches). Five of the Bruins' offensive regulars sport hitting percentages of .300 or higher in league play: Jaye Schuler (.439), Emily Cahill (.404), Katie Tobiasz (.325), Colleen Nilson (.317), and Erin Janson (.308). The Bruins travel to Springfield, Missouri this coming weekend for out-of-conference matches against Wichita State and Missouri State.

ETSU Bucaneers

The Lady Bucs extended their winning streak to a school record 11 matches over the weekend, gaining sole possession of first place in the Atlantic Sun Conference with a five-game win over Belmont Friday night, and sweeping past Lipscomb in record-setting fashion Saturday afternoon. The Lady Bucs amassed 84 digs in the three games, setting a new conference mark for digs in a three-game league match. Junior Kaena Apana led the way for the ETSU back row, accumulating a conference record 31 digs in the sweep.

Gardner-Webb Bulldogs

The Gardner-Webb volleyball team won its only match of the week last week, defeating the Panthers of High Point by a 3-0 score. Audra Harrison tallied a match-high 15 kills while Ashley Pridgeon chipped in 13. Regina Feagin dished out a match-best 43 assists. Defensively, Bethany Martin recorded a career-high three solo blocks and had six total blocks for the night. Katie Matykowski recorded a match-high 18 digs. The Bulldogs look to improve upon their 3-3 conference record this week as they travel to Florida to take on North Florida Friday evening and Jacksonville Saturday afternoon.

Kennesaw State Owls

The Owls will look to break their 11-match losing streak and for their first conference win as they wrap up the season at Mercer and Stetson this weekend. KSU paid tribute to its two seniors, Aaryn Phillips and Malia Hennies, during last Friday's game versus Lipscomb.

Lipscomb Bisons

The Lady Bisons with five victories have already tied their A-Sun record for last season with two more conference games remaining at home against Jacksonville and North Florida. They have 10 victories overall, three short of last year's total with five regular season matches left. Lindsey Rutherford put together another solid week with a match-leading 13 kills and a .500 hitting percentage at Kennesaw State in a three-game match win and 13 kills and 12 digs for a double-double in three games at ETSU. Jessica Turner finished with back-to-back double figures in digs with 12 against Kennesaw State and 10 against ETSU.

Mercer Bears

Mercer went 0-3 on the week, falling to Georgia State, 3-1, North Florida, 3-0, and Jacksonville, 3-1. Senior Liz Kane earned her 1,700th career dig in the match against Jacksonville, moving her career total to 1,722 digs. Freshman Chelsea Gebben earned her first double-double of the season after a 18-assist, 10-dig performance against Georgia State. Sophomores Karen Dorris and Kelly Jansen notched double-doubles against Jacksonville. Dorris registered 17 kills and 10 digs for her sixth double-double of the season and Kelly Jansen earned her second double-double of the season, handing out 53 assists and 12 digs. The Bears close their home schedule with three matches this week against UNC Wilmington, Kennesaw State and ETSU.
