With three spots already occupied in the tournament, Gardner-Webb and Jacksonville will face off Saturday for the right to each earn a place. GWU (11-15, 3-3 A-Sun) averages 13.63 kills per game while JU (11-11, 3-2 A-Sun) leads the league in blocks with 2.76 per game. With a Mercer loss, there is a possibility that both teams could clinch.

THREE CLINCHERS
ETSU, Belmont and Lipscomb each clinched a berth to the 2006 A-Sun Volleyball Tournament over the wwekend. The Lady Bucs and Bruins, who were undefeated prior to this weekend, faced off, with ETSU taking victory despite a two-game deficit. ETSU also defeated Lipscomb to remain undefeated.

VOLLEY BUCS' RECORD SETTING WEEKEND
ETSU set multiple records over the weekend, first reaching a school record 11 straight victories. As a team, the Lady Bucs tallied 84 digs -- an A-Sun record for digs in a three-game match. Junior libero Kaena Apana (Waiane, Hawaii) was named player of the week after amassing a league best 31 digs in a three-game match against Lipscomb. She collected 60 digs in eight games.

KANE MOVES TO TOP
Mercer libero Liz Kane became the A-Sun all-time career leader in digs with 1,722 after picking up 57 in matches against Georgia State, UNF and Jacksonville. She has logged 20-plus digs in eight matches this season.
