JACKSONVILLE, Fl. - Senior libero Shelley Walroth put the final touches on one of the finest careers in NCAA history and the accolades still continue to mount as she received 2009 “Libero of the Year” Honorable Mention by Collegiate Volleyball Update (CVU).

Cara Hackmann of Missouri State earned “Libero of the Year” after ranking fifth in the nation with 5.74 digs per set while becoming the only libero to earn CVU National Player of the Week honors. Along with Walroth, Ashley Mass (Iowa State), Kim Maroon (Villanova) and Ellie Blankenship (UNI) also received honorable mention.

“I'm glad to see that Shelley is leaving Jacksonville with such high honors,” said JU head coach Shaun Kupferberg. “She had a remarkable career and has worked hard for all of the accolades that come her way.”
