Campbell Volleyball Takes Down NC State, 3-1

WILMINGTON, N.C.-Allyson Goldbach torched North Carolina State for 19.5 points, leading fueling Campbell to a 3-1 win (25-22, 22-25, 27-25, 25-14), its second straight in the UNC Wilmington Hilton Garden Inn Beach Bash inside Hanover Hall.

The Camels improve to 4-10 on the season, while NC State falls to 9-2. The win was Campbell's second straight over the Wolfpack after downing NCSU 3-0 last season in the NC State / Hilton RTP Classic in Raleigh. The Camels are 4-8 all-time against NC State, with a 4-24 mark against Atlantic Coast Conference opponents.

Goldbach, a senior outside hitter, collected 15 kills on 25 attacks with only three errors, hitting a career-high .480. The Jupiter, Fla. native also tied a career-best with four aces, adding 13 digs and a block.

Senior Emily Werner tacked on eight kills, with sophomore Jordan Reaves adding seven scores. Werner tallied three aces with Reaves posting nine digs and four blocks. Caitlin Bendy, who notched six blocks against Elon last night, added another five against the Wolfpack. Heather Wilson and Hope Leatigaga combined for 35 assists in the win. Kelsey Campbell posted 13 digs and three aces.
