Gulley Hits Her Way to Weekly Honor

MACON, Ga. – Senior Sabrita Gulley earned Atlantic Sun Conference Volleyball Player of the Week accolades after helping Kennesaw State clinch its best league finish in program history in her final home matches. The Owls will be the No. 2 seed at the 2010 A-Sun Volleyball Championship.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
Sabrita Gulley (OH – Sr. – N. Chicago, Ill. – Human Services)
• First A-Sun Player of the Week award
• Led the Owls to best A-Sun finish in program history with 2-0 weekend
• Hit .421 for the two matches
• Paced the team with 14 kills in critical four-set win versus ETSU
• Followed with 22 kills against USC Upstate
• Committed just four errors for the week • Added six blocks

OTHER NOMINEES: 
Jessica Catelano (OH, UNF) - Tied school record with seven aces against Campbell
Maggie Johnson (OH, Belmont) - Eclipsed 1000-kill plateau versus Stetson
Krista Hurley (MB, Mercer) - Racked up 22 total kills in weekend sweep
Charlyn Ursell (RS, Lipscomb) - Hit .512 including .480 in title clinching match vs FGCU
Morgan Thomas (MB, USC Upstate) - Tallied 31.5 points and nine blocks
