UNF Picks Up A-Sun Volleyball Berth; Weekly Honors

MACON, Ga. – In the final Atlantic Sun Volleyball Player of the Week award, UNF’s Paige Pridgeon took the honor for the first time this season after her 18-kill performance with a .500 hit percentage. The Ospreys swept rival Jacksonville in the River City Rumble to clinch the final spot in this week’s A-Sun Championship in Fort Myers, Fla.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
Paige Pridgeon (OH – So. – Tallahassee, Fla. – Education)
• First A-Sun Player of the Week award
• Led the A-Sun in kills/set at six
• Ospreys swept rival Dolphins to clinch final A-Sun Championship spot
• Finished the match with 18 kills, 6 digs and a .500 hitting percentage

OTHER NOMINEES:
• Kelli Carneal (S, Stetson) – Notched season highs in assists (45) and kills (7)
• Jake Pease (S, Lipscomb) – Recorded a match high 49 assists and five kills against Belmont
• Erin Ryan (OH, ETSU) – Totaled 12 kills and six digs in a sweep of USC Upstate
• Kayla Albritton (OH, Belmont) – Accumulated 16 kills in the season finale at Lipscomb
• Chelsea Lyles (MB, FGCU) – Tallied 33 kills and six blocks in a three-game week
• Charlotte Harris (L, Mercer) – Racked up 33 digs in a five-set match with Kennesaw State
