Monday, October 24, 2011 MACON, Ga. – Lipscomb's Katie Rose earned her third Atlantic Sun Volleyball Player of the Week honor following a 3-0 week for the Lady Bisons, which included wins against Big East Conference foe, Louisville, and conference wins against FGCU and Stetson. PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Katie Rose, Lipscomb (Sr. – Middle Blocker – Lexington, Ky. – Education) • Third Career A-Sun Player of the Week honor; third award of the season • Led Lady Bisons to 3-1 win against Louisville - No. 41 in the NCAA RPI • Hit .426 on the week with 36 kills; added six aces, nine total blocks and 31 digs • Posted a 16-kill, 14-dig and four-block effort against FGCU in 3-1 win OTHER NOMINEES: • Maggie Johnson (Sr., Belmont) – Totaled 40 kills, 30 digs and four block in a 1-1 week for the Bruins • Megan Devine (So., ETSU) – Recorded a team-best 42 kills on the week including 20 vs. Presbyterian • Paige Pridgeon (Jr., North Florida) – Had a pair of double-doubles on the week including a career high 26 kills and 29 digs • Jill Hopper (Fr., FGCU) – Nearly recorded a triple-double against Belmont with 17 kills, 13 digs and 8 blocks • Emily Sanders (Jr., USC Upstate) – Amassed 105 assists to go along with 14 kills and 41 digs on the week • Amiee Frutchey (Sr., Mercer) – Led Bears to a 2-1 week with an impressive 20-kill, 22-dig performance in win vs. USC Upstate • Baylee Strachan (Jr., Kennesaw State) – Set school record with seven service aces against USC Upstate
