Macon, Ga. – Leading Lipscomb to an undefeated week, Lindsey Rutherford was
named Atlantic Sun Player of the Week by the conference office. In 11 games,
Rutherford collected 46 kills (on .305 hitting), 56 digs, 10 aces, 10 assists
and nine blocks. She picks up her second weekly award of the season.
The senior opposite hitter had double-doubles in every match as Lipscomb defeated
Chattanooga, Campbell, and Gardner-Webb. Her highlight of the week was capturing
career highs in kills (23) and digs (27) against Campbell. In the four game
victory over Chattanooga, Rutherford had 10 kills and 11 digs. Against Gardner-Webb,
she tallied 13 kills and 18 digs in the 3-0 sweep.
The Hendersonville, Tenn. native averaged 4.18 kills per game for the week
and is majoring in Exercise Science.
The Lady Bisons are currently 4-1 in league play, staying in contention for
the A-Sun regualr season title. They will face Tennessee State on Tuesday, Kennesaw
State on Friday and ETSU on Saturday.
The 10-member league headquartered in Macon, Ga., includes Belmont, Campbell,
ETSU, Gardner-Webb, Jacksonville, Kennesaw State, Lipscomb, Mercer, North Florida
and Stetson, with Florida Gulf Coast and USC Upstate to compete in 2007.

Jaye Schuler, BEL (Jr. - MH - Lexington, Ill. - Physical Education)
-- Schuler helped the Bruins to a 2-1 record last week. They fell to Memphis,
one of the top teams in C-USA, on Tuesday, but came back and swept conference
rivals Gardner-Webb and Campbell in home weekend matches.
Femi Alabi, CAM
(So. - OH - Jos, Nigeria - Business Admin.) -- Alabi posted a career-high 21
kills in the Camels victory over North Carolina Central, hitting .500 committed
just three errors in 36 attack attempts. She blasted 19 kills in CU's match
at Lipscomb posting a .419 attack percentage convereting 19 of her 31 attempts
into kills.
Callie Kiselich, ETSU
(Jr. - MB - Colorado Springs, Colo. - Education) -- Kiselich hit .489
for the week, averaging nearly four kills per game in the Lady Bucs two victories,
extending their winning streak to nine.
Drennan Dexheimer,
MER (Jr. - OH - Hoover, Ala. - Business Management) -- Dexheimer recorded
the teams only double-double in the match against Charlotte. She leads the team
with .49 service aces per game. Recorded match-high eight digs against Savannah
State.
