Macon, Ga. – North Florida's Magen Wood (Tallmadge, Ohio/Early Childhood Education),
led the Ospreys to a 3-0 week on .382 hitting and was awarded the final Atlantic
Sun Player of the Week honor today by the conference office.
The junior led the attack for UNF, who defeated UCF, Florida Gulf Coast, and
Stetson in non-conference play. Against UCF, Wood had 10 kills and five block
assists the 3-2 win. She had 11 kills and five block assists versus 25th-ranked
Division II FGCU and capped off the week with 3-0 victory over Stetson, where
she recorded 15 kills. For the week, Wood posted 36 kills , six digs, 14 blocks and
hit .382 over 11 games.
In its first season in the A-Sun, UNF finished the regular season ranked third
with a 7-2 conference mark and 19-9 overall. The Osprey are ineligible for the
Atlantic Sun and NCAA Tournaments during reclassifying years.
The Atlantic Sun Conference announces the Player of the Week every Monday during
the 2005 volleyball campaign.
The 11-member league headquartered in Macon, Ga., consists of Belmont, Campbell,
ETSU, Florida Atlantic, Gardner-Webb, Jacksonville, Kennesaw State, Lipscomb,
Mercer, North Florida and Stetson.

- Exercise Science) -- Sartor hit .467 with a match high 15 kills and added
eight digs and six blocks to lead the Lady Bucs to 3-0 victory over Western
Carolina.
Casey LaRocca, FAU (Fr. - S - St. Louis, Mo.- International Business)
-- LaRocca collected 44 assists in three games on Sunday against UCF to break
FAU's single season assists record with 1259. She also added two service aces
and nine digs in the win.
