Tuesday, November 15, 2005 Macon, Ga. – The Atlantic Sun Conference will partner with Comcast/Charter Sports Southeast (CSS) for the fourth consecutive year in bringing A-Sun women’s basketball to fans in the southeast. The schedule of regular season conference games features appearances by each of the 11 A-Sun teams. The women’s championship game from Dothan, Alabama, will also be aired live by CSS, which reaches more than 4.5 million homes in its 13-state territory. “We are very pleased to announce that once again we will have all of our teams included in the women’s television package,” said Commissioner Bill Bibb. “This has been a goal of ours each year and we appreciate the great working relationship we have developed with CSS which makes this package possible.” The women’s package tips off on Monday, January 16, with a pair of A-Sun newcomers when East Tennessee State meets Kennesaw State in the new KSU Convocation Center. Local Nashville rivals Belmont and Lipscomb square off in their renewal of the Battle of the Boulevard, while Jacksonville begins its own local A-Sun showdown when UNF meets JU. Campbell and Gardner-Webb play for Carolina bragging rights, Mercer and Kennesaw State play for Georgia bragging rights, and Stetson hosts FAU in a Sunshine State clash.
