Immediate Impact Proves Clark Right -- The Tennessean

After being passed over by several larger colleges, Belmont rookie Alysha Clark's decision to join the Bruins has proven to be a great fit for her and the team.

In just six games, the Mt. Juliet, Tenn. native has led Belmont to a 4-2 mark, scored a career-high 36 points against Clemson, was named tournament MVP at the Lady Tiger Classic in Memphis, Tenn., and has recorded four double-doubles. She has earned two Player of the Week honors so far this season.

Not bad for a 5-foot-10 forward that many coaches thought would have a hard time making the transition to college basketball. Mike Organ of The Tennessean highlights Clark's journey to Nashville.
