Boiling Springs, N.C. -- Gardner-Webb placed six players in double figures and Shameka Smith and Brittany Harmon each recorded double-doubles as GWU ran past Mercer, 74-49 in Paul Porter Arena Monday night. The win improves GWU to 2-0 in A-Sun play.

Smith registered her third-straight double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds while Harmon`s 10 point, 11 rebound, five block performance marked her first double-double of the season. Candyse Kelly and Katie Sanderson led all scorers with 13 points and Jessica Bryant and Trisha Bennett put in 12 and 10 points.

The 74-49 victory marks GWU`s largest margin of victory for the Lady Bulldogs in a conference game since joining the Atlantic Sun Conference.

Gardner-Webb now stands at 2-0 in A-Sun play and is 2-5 overall.
