Belmont's Bobbitt Tabbed Player of the Week

Macon, Ga. – Despite a loss in the Preseason WNIT, Belmont's Jessica Bobbitt posted solid numbers against a nationally ranked team to earn Atlantic Sun Player of the Week. Bobbitt scored 15 points and snatched down 14 rebounds, including seven offensive against No. 13 Purdue.

Recording her fourth double-double of her career, the sophomore from Trenton, Tenn. shot 50 percent from the field, including two treys. She also added a block and a steal in 31 minutes of play.

Belmont will be back in action Saturday, Nov. 18 when they host TAMU-Corpus Christi at 7 pm.

The 10-member league headquartered in Macon, Ga., includes Belmont, Campbell, ETSU, Gardner-Webb, Jacksonville, Kennesaw State, Lipscomb, Mercer, North Florida and Stetson, with Florida Gulf Coast and USC Upstate to compete in 2007.

Adrienne Rieley, CAM (Sr. - C - Hope Mills, N.C. - Criminal Justice) -- Rieley posted her fifth career double-double for the Lady Camels, notching 10 points and 10 rebounds against Elon.

Brittany Boyce, GWU (Fr. - G - Forest City, N.C. - Undeclared) -- Boyce scored a game-high 15 points in her first collegiate game. Her seven steals tied a GWU school record.

Jennifer Baker, KSU (So. - C - Hope Mills, N.C. - Criminal Justice) -- Baker had a game-high 20-points on 6-for-11 shooting in the Lady Owls overtime loss to Jacksonville State on Friday evening.

Chelsea Seabron, MER (So. - G - Soperton, Ga. - Chemistry) -- Seabron recorded 15 points, 7 rebounds, 1-of-1 3-pointers, on 5-of-7 overall shooting. Led team in scoring, coming off the bench.
