Macon, Ga. -- Conference action shifts into full gear in 2007 as UNF
hosts Campbell in the A-Sun/CSS Women's Basketball Game of the Week. Thursday
afternoon's game will be shown on tape delay Friday night at 7:30 pm. Justin
Cazara will provide play-by-play and Robin Muller will give expert color analysis.
Campbell, who is in the midst of a five-game road swing, are led by junior
forward Marlena Murphy. The Fayetteville, N.C. native has scored over 20 points
in three of her last four games and has double-doubles in four of the last six
contests. Murphy was named A-Sun Player of the Week on Dec. 26. The Lady Camels
enter the game ranked second in the A-Sun in free throw percentage (71.4) and
rebounding margin (+2.8).
The Lady Ospreys will host their 200th game and first conference opener of
the season in UNF Arena. UNF last saw conference action on Dec. 2 when it defeated
Lipscomb 53-44 in Nashville. That contest was part of a 10-game road stretch
to open the season for the Lady Ospreys. It was also the last time UNF captured
a victory. The Lady Ospreys have dropped four straight since defeating Lipscomb,
including their home opener on Dec. 29 against Hofstra. UNF's block leader Antoinette
Reames, has not played in the last two outings and will sit out of Thursday's
matchup.
