Belmont Bruins

• Belmont moved closer to clenching the first spot in the 2007 Atlantic Sun Tournament with road victories over Gardner-Webb, 77-52, and Campbell, 61-54, last week. • Sophomore Alysha Clark crossed the 900 point threshold during the two game stretch and also moved into 10th place on BU's all-time rebound list. • This week, the Bruins return to the confines of the Curb Event Center where they are in the midst of an 18-game win streak. BU will host ETSU on Thursday and Kennesaw State on Saturday.

Campbell Fighting Camels

• Campbell went 1-1 defeating Lipscomb on Thursday and falling to Belmont on Saturday. The Lady Camels gave Belmont its toughest challenge to date, holding the largest lead (7) on them in conference play and having the closest margin of defeat (7) than anyone else in the league. • Marlena Murphy reached double figures for the 14th and 15th times this season and has now pulled down at least seven rebounds in 16 of Campbell’s 19 games. •

ETSU Bucs

• The Lady Bucs are riding their first five-game winning streak since Feb. 12-March 2, 2000 when they won six straight, as they knocked off Kennesaw State, 95-88, on Saturday afternoon. • Michele DeVault scored a career high 22 points in the win, and Siarre Evans collected her fourth straight double-double performance with a 10 point, 10 rebound effort over the Lady Owls. • ETSU is perfect on the road in the A-Sun as they have won its first five road games in league play, which set a new school record. ETSU also set a new school record as its 9-1 start in the A-Sun is the best mark after 10 games in league play.

Gardner-Webb Bulldogs

• The Bulldogs split their first two home games on the four-game homestand, falling to Belmont before posting a come-from-behind victory over Lipscomb. • Brittany Harmon notched her first double-double of the season with a career-high19 points while pulling down 10 rebounds at Lipscomb. She also tied the school record and set a career high with seven blocks. • The Bulldogs continue their stay in Paul Porter Arena this week as they prepare for Jacksonville and North Florida. GWU and JU's game will be on CSS Thursday night at 9 p.m., marking the Bulldogs' first television appearance of the year.

Kennesaw State Owls

•The Lady Owls lost a hard-fought game, 95-88, to ETSU on Saturday afternoon. Lipscomb Bisons

• Junior guards Dana Carrigan and Catie Woods have both scored in double figures in their last four games and six of their last seven games. • Sophomore forward Jilian Partin scored 15 points, a career high at Campbell Jan. 25. Junior forward Julie Martin grabbed a career high 10 rebounds in the Campbell game. • In the NCAA the Lady Bisons are 25th in 3-point field goals with 6.5 per game and 25th in personal fouls with 14.9 per game. Junior point guard Catie Woods is 40th in 3-point field goal percentage (39.4).

Mercer Bears

• The Bears make their season television debut Sunday, Feb. 4, on the road against Stetson. Mercer lost to Kennesaw State last season on TV, and fell 57-50 to Stetson earlier this season. • Absences and injuries continue to plague the Bears. Nicole Leonard missed both games against North Florida and Jacksonville last weekend due to an injury while Megan delaRosa missed Saturday’s game due to a death in the family. Seven players have missed 60 games due to injuries this season for the Bears.

UNF Ospreys

• UNF got back into the thick of the Atlantic Sun Conference race, jumping up four spots in the standings into a tie for fourth after winning a pair of home games last week. • The Lady Ospreys kicked their offense into full gear, downing Stetson 75-61 two days after defeating Mercer 57-40. • Tamara Hubbard returned from a knee injury that kept her out two games to lead UNF in scoring for the week. She averaged 16 points off the bench, including a 21-point outburst against Stetson.

Stetson Hatters

• This weekend the Hatters went to Jacksonville to take on conference foes the Jacksonville and UNF. • Against JU, Ayesha Barkley led the way for the Hatters tallying 14 points and four rebounds while senior Janene Maclin followed with 13 points and seven rebounds. • The Hatters take on the Mercer Bears at home on Sunday, February 4 at 4:30 in a televised conference match-up on CSS.
