MACON, Ga. - It was a light holiday scheduling week for Atlantic Sun Conference teams, but Stetson guard Sharnesha Smith distinguished herself in the Hatters' only game. Her 24 points led the Hatters to a one-point road win, and earned her Player of the Week honors the conference office announced, Monday afternoon.

The senior scored a season-high 24 points on Monday as the Hatters knocked off local rival Bethune-Cookman, 74-73 on the road to capture their fourth win in five tries overall and their fifth against the Wildcats in the last six meetings. The sports management major shot over 50 percent from the floor and maintained her place at the top of the A-Sun assists rankings with five helpers. She leads the team in scoring (11.9 ppg) and minutes per game (34.1 mpg) on the season.
