Campbell Opens A-Sun Play with 64-52 Win Against UNF

BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Kate Cloxton posted 16 points and Lauren Yesh recorded her first career double-double to lead Campbell past UNF in its A-Sun opener inside the John W. Pope Jr. Convocation Center. Campbell moves to 4-1 on the year with a 1-0 A-Sun mark, while UNF falls to 1-4 and 0-1 in league action.

Cloxton led all scorers with 16, one off the Winfield, W.Va. native's career high, connecting on 4-of-10 shooting that included a 4-for-8 tally from three. Cloxton added four assists in the win with one rebound.

Yesh posted a 5-of-9 rate from the floor while notching a career high 11 rebounds and tying a career high with three steals. Six of Yesh's boards were on the offensive end, where the Lady Camels pulled down 18 on the game.

Freshman guard Tonisha Baker added nine for Campbell with three assists and two steals, while junior guard Courtney Cannon recorded eight points and three rebounds off the bench. Senior center Ashley Williamson also notched seven points with a season high nine boards.

For the Ospreys, junior guard Juliemay Syquio led the way with 15 points, adding four rebounds with nine turnovers. Sophomore guard Brittany Kirkland followed with 13 points, including nine in the second half. Freshman forward Jadhken Kerr also recorded double figures for UNF, tallying 12 points. Senior forward Arlande Cherizol led the Ospreys on the glass with nine rebounds.
