Bartsokas Battles to Atlantic Sun Player of the Week

MACON, Ga. – On Monday, the Atlantic Sun Conference announced its weekly women’s basketball award with Jenna Bartsokas of Lipscomb earning her first league honor.

Bartsokas, a junior guard, tallied a season-high 20 points in Lipscomb's 74-69 loss to Evansville on Tuesday evening. It notched the third time in the Franklin, Tenn. native’s career that Bartsokas scored 20 or more points. The exercise science major shot 7-of-14 from the field and 6-of-7 from the free throw line. Bartsokas also grabbed three rebounds, two assists, and one steal.

Daphnee Frieson, Stetson (Jr. - Center - Mobile, Ala. - Communication Studies) – Frieson recorded her first career double-double and the first double-double by a Hatter this season with 13 points and 13 rebounds in Sunday's 76-60 loss at Furman. The 13 rebounds also represent a career high for the 6’4" junior center. In Frieson’s first active season at Stetson since transferring from Ole Miss, the communications studies major leads the Hatters in scoring (10.0 ppg), rebounding (7.4 rpg), blocked shots (11) and field goal percentage (.542). Frieson entered Sunday's game leading the A-Sun in field goal percentage.

Crystal Grable, Jacksonville (Sr. - Forward - Sparta, Ga. - Physical Education) – Grable recorded a career-best 18 points and 13 rebounds off the bench to lead the Dolphins against USF. The senior forward finished 6-for-14 from the floor a perfect 6-for-6 from the free-throw line. Grable also picked up an assist and two steals in the loss.

Ashley Williamson, Campbell (Sr. - Center - Colonial Heights, Va. - Biology) – Williamson led all scorers in a 78-57 loss at High Point in the Lady Camels' only game of the week. The senior center added four rebounds, a block and a steal against the Panthers, leading Campbell in scoring for the second time this season.
