Campbell Downs Stetson in CSS Game of the Week

DELAND, FLA.-Campbell converted 19-of-20 free throw attempts and Courtney Cannon notched 16 points as the Lady Camels defeated Stetson, 70-61, in Atlantic Sun women's basketball action Thursday night inside the Edmunds Center.

Campbell moves to 13-9 overall and 8-5 in A-Sun play with the win, while the Hatters fall to 5-18 with a 5-9 conference mark. The Lady Camels' 13 wins are the most since the 2001-02 season.

Cannon, a junior guard, went 9-for-9 from the charity stripe, all coming in the second half, adding six rebounds. Senior center Ashley Williamson collected her third-consecutive double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Now with 483 career boards, needs 17 to become the 17th Lady Camel in program history to reach 500.

Monique Spry and Kate Cloxton added nine points each, nailing three baskets from distance apiece. Cloxton also chipped in three assists and a pair of steals.

Leading the Hatters was Ashli Jackson, who posted 15 of her game-high 18 points in the second half. Lyllique Roman added 10 points and five rebounds while Natasha Graboski and Tierra Brown added nine and eight points, respectively.
