Wednesday, December 15, 2010 MACON, Ga. - For the third-consecutive week, FGCU earned a third-place ranking in the CollegeInsider.com Women's Basketball Mid-Major Poll as the Eagles earned three first-place votes from the nation's coaches. With an unblemished 7-0 record, FGCU remains as one of the nation's 11 unbeaten teams and the only program in the Mid-Major poll that can make that claim. Their undefeated mark hasn't gone overlooked as the Eagles garnered votes in the ESPN/USA Today Women's Basketball Coaches Poll on Tuesday for the first time this season. FGCU previously received votes in the 2009-10 AP Preseason Top 25 and also picked up a vote in back-to-back weeks in the AP Top 25 to close out the 2008-09 season. The Eagles also boast a 26-game home winning streak at FGCU's Alico Arena, which is tied for the third-longest streak in the nation. Jacksonville and ETSU garnered votes this week in the poll. For the Dolphins, it is the third-consecutive week they have received votes in the poll, while the Lady Bucs have seen their name in the poll every single week.
