Wednesday, February 16, 2011 MACON, Ga. - MACON, Ga. - Despite dropping their second contest of the season, the FGCU Eagles remained at No. 3 in the CollegeInsider.com Women's Basketball Mid-Major Poll. For the first time in the past ten weeks, FGCU did not receive votes in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll following their road loss to Kennesaw State. The Eagles currently stand at 20-2 and 13-2 in the Atlantic Sun after defeating Mercer on the road to reach the 20-win plateau. FGCU reached as high as No. 2 in the poll by starting the season with 14-straight wins. After playing six of their past eight games on the road, the Blue and Green now return to friendly confines of Alico Arena for a four-game homestand starting with Campbell on Saturday, Feb. 19th at 7:30 p.m. The Eagles have claimed 34 straight wins on their home court, which is the third longest streak in the nation.
