Notes:
• The Dolphins enter the 2011-12 season without their top-three scorers from last season in Taneskei Richardson (11.1), GiGi Thomas (10.3) and Lynsey Paschal (9.6). The trio combined for 48.4 percent of the Dolphins offense and 63.2 percent of the team's blocked shots, while also averaging a combined 21 rebounds per outing.
• However, the Dolphins have a senior trio again this season with Jessica George, Crystal Bell and Ashanti Williams. Bell and Williams ranked fourth and fifth on the team in scoring last season at 9.3 and 8.2 points, respectively. George was tops on the team in three-pointers made per game (0.9) and assists (2.6).
• Along with the senior trio, others will need to step up for the Dolphins as a tough early-season slate awaits JU. Eight of Jacksonville's first 11 contests will be played on the road including a five-game stretch from Nov. 23 to Dec. 11 which includes games at NC State and Wake Forest. JU defeated Wake Forest last season, 72-66, in Swisher Gymnasium.
• Just like last season, the Dolphins will bring plenty of height onto the court as the roster features six student-athletes at 5-10 or taller, which includes four six-foot players. Jacksonville ranked second in the A-Sun last season in total rebounds and third in rebounding margin.
