MACON, Ga. - Stetson's Victoria McGowan garnered her second-straight Atlantic Sun Women's Basketball Player of the Week honor following two Hatter road wins, while her teammate Shanasa Sanders collected her second Newcomer of the Week honor.
McGowan ranks near the top of seven A-Sun major statistical categories including; scoring (16.7; 2nd), rebounding (6.4; 10th), field-goal percentage (.415; 9th), assists (4.7; 1st), free-throw percentage (.841; 5th), steals (3.4; 2nd) and three-point shooting (.380; 9th).
PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
Victoria McGowan, Stetson (Jr. – Guard – Inkster, Mich. – Sport Management)
- Third Career Player of the Week award; third this season
- Led Hatters to road wins against Georgia Southern and Bethune-Cookman
- Averaged 23.0 PPG, 8.0 RPG, 5.5 APG and 3.5 SPG on .577 FG% and .636 3-FG%
- Nearly earned her second triple-double with 27 points, nine rebounds and nine assists at Bethune-Cookman
- At 8-3, Stetson is off to program's best start since 2000-01 season
OTHER NOMINEES:
- Lauren McRoberts (Jr., USC Upstate) – Led team in rebounding for fifth time this season with six at No. 5 Duke
NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK:

- Second Career Newcomer of the Week award
- Notched 20 points and three assists at Bethune-Cookman
- Collected 14 points and four assists against Georgia Southern
- Shot 50 percent from the field; adding 87.5 percent from the charity stripe
OTHER NOMINEES:
- Ry'van Buchanan (Jr., Mercer) – Scored a team-high 13 points vs. No. 14 Georgia; added four boards and two blocks
- Tyra Smith (Jr., USC Upstate) – Tallied five points with three steals at No. 5 Duke
