FGCU Holds at No. 4; Hatters Jump to No. 18 in Mid-Major Poll

MACON, Ga. – MACON, Ga. – FGCU and Stetson both appeared in the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top-25 Poll for the second-straight week, announced Tuesday evening. The Eagles remained at No. 4 in the polls for the fifth-straight week, while the Hatters jumped up seven spots to No. 18 in the rankings.

Both teams went 3-0 last week by defeating Jacksonville and North Florida at home, while also earning a victory in the Peach State. FGCU sits at 14-2 on the season, while Stetson is 15-3 this year. The teams share an identical 6-0 record in conference play.

Green Bay, Delaware and Gonzaga are the three teams ranked higher than the Eagles in this week’s poll.

The women's Mid-Major Top 25 is comprised of teams from the America East, Atlantic Sun, Big Sky, Big South, Big West, Colonial, Great West, Horizon, Independents, Ivy, Metro Atlantic, Mid-American, Mid-Eastern, Missouri Valley, Northeast, Ohio Valley, Patriot, Southern, Southland, Southwestern, Summit, Sun Belt and West Coast Conference.
