FGCU and Stetson Remain in Women's Mid-Major Poll

MACON, Ga. - FGCU locked in to No. 3 in the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Poll for the second-straight week, while Stetson fell three spots to No. 23 in the rankings. The Eagles and Hatters competed in only one contest last week by squaring off on Saturday in a showdown between the two top teams in the A-Sun in which FGCU won 59-55.

The two teams host Kennesaw State and Mercer this week. Both FGCU and Stetson already own road wins against the Owls and Bears.

FGCU (17-2; 9-0) and Stetson (16-5; 8-1) are first and second in the conference standings, while the Eagles are tied for eight in the nation in total wins only trailing; Notre Dame (20), Baylor (19), Ohio State (19), Maryland (18), St. Bonaventure (18), Kentucky (18) and BYU (18) .

Green Bay and Delaware are the only teams ahead of FGCU in the women's rankings.
