Matt Stewart Next on the A-Sun Insider on FOX Sports 1670 AM

MACON, GA – Play-by-Play talent Matt Stewart will be the guest on the weekly Atlantic Sun Insider, featured on the Friday, Jan. 27, edition of "The Morning Show" on FOX Sports 1670 AM.

A-Sun fans know Matt Stewart as the primary play-by-play announcer for CSS and because he is on the call every Friday night for the A-Sun's CSS "Friday Night Game of the Week." Matt Stewart is currently in his fifth year as a host of the CSS Sports show "SportsNite" and has been with the show since it started.

Stewart previously hosted Sports Unlimited for cable viewers in Atlanta for eight years. Stewart is also the primary play-by-play announcer for CSS and typically works close to 100 events per year for the network. He calls college football, basketball and baseball for CSS, as well as high school football and basketball, minor league baseball, and Arena Football League action. He has received two Emmy nominations during his television career.

The Atlantic Sun Conference is partnering with the local Fox Sports 1670 AM as a part of its promotional efforts of men’s and women’s basketball leading up to the 2012 General Shale Atlantic Sun Basketball Championships, Feb. 29-March 3, at the University Center on the campus of Mercer University.

Included in the partnership, The Atlantic Sun Insider is a regular segment to highlight weekly A-Sun action on the Friday edition of “The Morning Show” with Daniel Shirley and Charles Olson. A schedule of radio spots will also run during the station’s local and syndicated shows, and additional coverage will include live broadcasts during the championships from the University Center on the station’s local afternoon show, “The Bill Shanks Show.”
