Paul Crane Next Up on the A-Sun Insider

MACON, GA – A-Sun women’s basketball play-by-play announcer Paul Crane will be the next guest on the Atlantic Sun Insider segment on FOX Sports 1670 AM, Friday, February 10.

The Insider segment airs at approximately 8:30 a.m.

Crane is in his second season of calling A-Sun women’s basketball. In addition to his A-Sun responsibilities, Crane’s talents enable him to fill roles as host, reporter, and play by play for Cable Sports Southeast and Cox Sports Television. Crane serves as co-host of Cox's weekly studio show CST Tonight and during football season co-hosts the New Orleans Saints' sanctioned show, “Saints Tonight.”  He has enjoyed a wide-ranging career that also includes nearly 10 years at CNN Sports and CNN/SI, preceded by another decade as a sports anchor/reporter covering the Dallas Cowboys and Nolan Ryan’s Houston Astros for KDFW-TV in Dallas, Texas. He won a regional Emmy Award in 2007.

The Atlantic Sun Conference is partnering with the local Fox Sports 1670 AM as a part of its promotional efforts of men’s and women’s basketball leading up to the 2012 General Shale Atlantic Sun Basketball Championships, Feb. 29-March 3, at the University Center on the campus of Mercer University. Included in the partnership, The Atlantic Sun Insider is a regular segment to highlight weekly A-Sun action on the Friday edition of “The Morning Show” with Daniel Shirley and Charles Olson. A schedule of radio spots will also run during the station’s local and syndicated shows, and additional coverage will include live broadcasts during the championships from the University Center on the station’s local afternoon show, “The Bill Shanks Show.”
