MACON, Ga. – FGCU's Sarah Hansen and Kennesaw State's Chelsea Mason tabbed Atlantic Sun Women's Basketball weekly honors as announced by the league office on Tuesday.
Hansen scored a career-high 30 points against SEC foe LSU, while Mason grabbed her first career double-double for the Owls.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
Sarah Hansen, FGCU (Jr. – G – McKean, Pa. – Chemistry)
- Second Career Player of the Week award
- Achieved a career-high 30 points in the Eagles 76-70 win vs. LSU
- Shot a perfect 14-of-14 from the charity stripe vs. the Tigers
- Led the Eagles to its second win (seventh all-time) over a BCS opponent this season
- Grabbed her 12th double figure scoring performance in FGCU's conference win vs. Kennesaw State
OTHER NOMINEES:
- Raneisha Lamar (Jr., North Florida) – Notched 2nd double-double of the year with 12 points and 13 rebounds
- Victoria McGowan (Sr., Stetson) – Moved into the top-50 in the A-Sun record books in scoring

Chelsea Mason, Kennesaw State (Fr. – G – Bellevue, Neb. – Biochemistry)
- Third Career Newcomer of the Week award
- Tallied 29 points in a two-game stretch for the Owls
- Landed first career double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds in conference-opener vs. FGCU
- Hit four three-pointers for the Owls vs. Gardner-Webb
