Monday, January 21, 2013 MACON, Ga. – Mercer, Stetson and FGCU defended their home courts and USC Upstate picked up the lone road victory in Monday's A-Sun women's basketball action. Mercer teammates Kendra Grant and Sharnea Boykin recorded career highs on the day, as Grant led all scorers with 24 points on 9-of-18 shooting that included 5-of-9 from three-point range. Boykin dished out a career-high 15 assists in the win, the most in a single-game by anyone in the A-Sun since 2009. ETSU's Destiny Mitchell also led all rebounders with 13. With the wins several teams also continue to ride win streaks. Overall FGCU has an eight-game winning streak and has won 25 consecutive conference games, Stetson has claimed 11 consecutive wins and 14 straight at home, while Mercer has won five straight for the first time since 2005-06.
