MACON, Ga. – Stetson's Shanasa Sanders and Northern Kentucky's Rianna Gayheart captured Atlantic Sun Women's Basketball Weekly Honors as announced by the conference on Tuesday.
Sanders collected her 1,000th NCAA career point with a double-double performance at Jacksonville, while Gayheart led the Norse to two conference road wins.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
Shanasa Sanders, Stetson (Sr. – G – Jacksonville, Fla. – Business)
- Fifth Career A-Sun Weekly Award; first this season
- Averaged 20.5 points and nine rebounds in the Hatters two road contests
- Hit five three-point shots vs. North Florida on Saturday, shooting 62.5 percent from three-point range
- Knocked down her 1,000th NCAA career point at Jacksonville
- Recorded a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds vs. the Dolphins

- Hannah Phillips (Sr., Lipscomb) – Landed a career-high 24 points vs. USC Upstate
- Sarah Hansen (Sr., FGCU) – Registered 18 points and a career-high six steals vs. JU
- Tee'Ara Copney (Sr., USC Upstate) – Tabbed 21 points and five rebounds vs. Lipscomb
- Raneisha Lamar (Jr., North Florida) – Posted her fifth and sixth double-double of the season
- Destiny Mitchell (Jr., ETSU) – Was on pace for a triple-double vs. Lipscomb before leaving the game due to injury
- Ellen Holton (Sr., Northern Kentucky) – Put in a career-high 26 points in NKU's 81-61 win vs. Upstate
NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK:
Rianna Gayheart, Northern Kentucky (Fr. – G – Owenton, Ky.)
- Second Career Newcomer of the Week award
- Averaged 13.5 points in two contests for the Norse
- Went 5-for-8 from the floor and knocked down a trio of three-point shots in NKU's 81-61 win vs. the Spartans
- Added four rebounds, three assists, three steals and a blocked shot at USC Upstate
- Collected five assists in the Norse 77-76 victory at ETSU
OTHER NOMINEES:
- Brianna McQueen (Fr., ETSU) – Went 75 percent from the free-throw line vs. NKU
- Alex Banks (Fr., Lipscomb) – Secured 14 points and six rebounds vs. the Spartans
- Jaime Gluesing (Fr., FGCU) – Shot 77.8 percent and tallied a career-high 20 points vs. JU
- Ki Conner (Jr., North Florida) – Tallied double digits in points in both of the Ospreys games
- Tweety Hawkins (Fr., USC Upstate) – Came off the bench to mark a career-high 15 points and eight assists
