Saturday, February 09, 2013 MACON, Ga. – Mercer defeated North Florida to clinch a spot in the 2013 General Shale Atlantic Sun Women's Basketball Championship, while FGCU, Kennesaw State, Northern Kentucky and Stetson all secured wins on Saturday. The Bears return to the conference tournament after a two-year absence, while the Hatters nine-point win vs. ETSU extended its home-winning streak to 15 games. KSU also tallied its second conference victory with a six-point victory vs. Jacksonville. Lipscomb's Hannah Phillips posted 22 points in the loss to NKU, but passed the 1,000 point plateau in the process; making her the 100th student-athlete to achieve the feat in conference history.
