Nine Women's Squads Scheduled in Monday Night Contests

MACON, Ga. - Nine Atlantic Sun Women's squads are scheduled in to compete in Monday night hoops action.

Mercer and FGCU look to extend winning streaks with home contests vs. Jacksonville and ETSU. Stetson is set to host USC Upstate, while Kennesaw State hosts North Florida in conference action.

Lipscomb faces non-conference opponent Belmont in the Battle of the Boulevard.

Jacksonville (7-16; 3-9) at Mercer (15-7; 9-2) - ASun.TV - 7 PM
• The Bears nine game winning streak is tied at No. 13 in the country for the longest streak; the longest streak in program history.
• The Dolphins are 5-2 vs. the Bears in their over the last three years.
• Mercer’s nine-game win improvement from six wins in 2011-12 to 15 wins this season is the biggest turnaround in the country.
• Jacksonville has the most players ranked in the top-20 in the A-Sun in rebounding with four; led by Jade Cargill (8.0)
• The Bears Precious Bridges lead the league in scoring (18.2), while teammate Sharnea Boykin leads in assists per game (9.1)
• JU is No. 1 in the A-Sun in defensive rebounding averaging 25.6 per game in league contests.

USC Upstate (9-14; 5-7) at Stetson (17-6; 10-2) - ASun.TV - 7 PM
• The Hatters are tied at No. 4 in the country for longest home court winning streak with 15 straight home wins.
• USC Upstate is shooting 77.9 percent from the free throw line in conference play; the best in the A-Sun.
• Stetson is the only team in the league to have five players ranked in the top-25 in the A-Sun in scoring.
• The Spartans Shelby Hicks (.558) and Brittany Starling (.543) lead the league in shooting percentage in league .
• The Hatters Shanasa Sanders is averaging 8.5 rebounds per game in her last four contests; the best off the boards for Stetson.
• Upstate’s Starling leads all A-Sun freshmen in scoring in conference games with 11.1 PPG

North Florida (10-13; 6-6) at Kennesaw State (6-17; 2-9) - ASun.TV - 7 PM
• The Owls lead the all-time series over North Florida with an 8-6 advantage
• UNF is holding its opponents to an average of 58.9 PPG, which ranks No. 2 in the A-Sun
• KSU’s Sametria Gideon is averaging a double-double this season with 11.6 points per game and 10.3 rebounds.
• Two Ospreys lead the league in free throw percentage in conference games with Ki Conner (.839; 1st) and Fabiola Josil (.824; 2nd)
• Gideon is one of just three active players in the country to be a school’s career points and rebounds leader.
• North Florida’s Conner is averaging 2.7 three-point field goals in league games, which leads all A-Sun players.

ETSU (6-13; 4-8) at FGCU (19-5; 12-0) - ASun.TV - 7:05 PM
• The Eagles have won their last 30 conference games which is the longest streak in the country behind Baylor (33). This streak marks an A-Sun record for longest streak.
• In conference games, the Buccaneers lead the league in rebounding margin (7.6) and blocked shots (5.6)
• FGCU’s 13 game win streak ranks No. 5 in the country. The Eagles last loss was on December 22, 2012 to UCF.
• Three ETSU players rank in the top-15 in the league in blocked shots per game, the most of all A-Sun squads.
• FGCU’s freshman, Jamie Gluesing, leads the league in three-point field goal percentage shooting .491 in conference games.
• In league games, ETSU’s Destiny Mitchell is pulling down 8.8 rebounds per game; No. 2 in the A-Sun

Lipscomb (2-20; 1-11) at Belmont (14-10; 9-3) - 6 PM CST
• LU’s Hannah Phillips reached the 1,000 point plateau in her last game vs. NKU with 22 points.
• Phillips has had the hot hand for the Bisons. In her last five games Phillips is averaging 20.4 points.
• Phillips boosted her season average from 11.6 points to 13.7 points per game in that same span.
