In what could turn out to be reminiscent of the 2006 A-Sun Semifinals, Gardner-Webb
hosts Belmont in a conference clash. The Bulldogs bumped off the #1 seed Bruins
last year to reach the finals. Things are different this season, as Gardner-Webb,
who was picked to win the conference tournament in the pre-season poll, has
lost two top-point producers and Belmont appears to be rolling full steam ahead
to A-Sun regular season title.
