Macon, Ga. - Florida Atlantic senior Raynell Hagberg (Stuart, Fla./Psychology major) was named Atlantic Sun Runner of the Week today as announced by the conference office.

Hagberg broke the Florida Atlantic University school record and set her personal best 5K time (17:57) at the Gator Invitational, good enough for a third-place finish. She led the Owls to a third-place finish, just one point behind the second-place finisher.

Next up for the Owls will be the FSU Invitational in Tallahassee, Fla. on September 17.

The Atlantic Sun Runner of the Week is announced every Wednesday during the 2005 cross country season.

The 11-member league headquartered in Macon, Ga., consists of Belmont, Campbell, ETSU, Florida Atlantic, Gardner-Webb, Jacksonville, Kennesaw State, Lipscomb, Mercer, North Florida and Stetson.
