Bruins Dominate Women's Cross Country Poll

Macon, Ga. – The Atlantic Sun Conference today announced its 2006 September Women's Cross Country Coaches Poll as voted by the league's 10 head coaches. Belmont holds on to the top spot, receiving 95 points.

UNF jumped to second with 86 points and three first place votes, while Kennesaw State earned 79 points and two first place votes. Campbell (72) and Lipscomb (48) round out the top five.

Four team will be in action Saturday, Sept. 23 with Lipscomb at the Vanderbilt Invitational; Mercer at the Great American Cross Country Festival and Stetson at the Embry-Riddle Invitational.

The Cross Country poll serves as the conference standings and will be announced on Sept. 19 and and again on Oct. 17 before the A-Sun Cross Country Championships, held Oct. 28 at Gardner-Webb.
