MACON, Ga. -- Lipscomb's Susan Worden completes the Atlantic Sun Runner of the Week sweep after leading the Bisons to a second place finish at the Vanderbilt Commodore Classic.

Under the soggy conditions, Worden covered the 5K course in a time of 19:18. The senior from Edmond, Okla., placed fifth in a field of 72 runners. This is her first Runner of the Week award and the third straight time she has led the Lady Bisons. She is majoring in Exercise Science.

The Bisons will be back in action on Sept. 30 at the Greater Louisville Classic.

The Atlantic Sun Conference announces the Athlete of the Week every Wednesday during the 2006 cross country season.

The 10-member league headquartered in Macon, Ga., includes Belmont, Campbell, ETSU, Gardner-Webb, Jacksonville, Kennesaw State, Lipscomb, Mercer, North Florida and Stetson, with Florida Gulf Coast and USC Upstate to compete in 2007.
