A-Sun Cross Country teams Excel in the Classroom

MACON, Ga. - The Atlantic Sun named six cross country teams to the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division I All-Academic Teams, it was announced last week.

Belmont's men's team finished with a GPA of 3.580, which was fifth in the entire nation. Lipscomb's women's team came up as fourth overall with a GPA of 3.68. Belmont women and Lipscomb men both ranked in the top-50.

Women's Indoor Track and Field Champions, the Jacksonville Dolphins and the Men's Cross Country and Men's Indoor Champions, the ETSU Buccaneers added their name to the to the All-Academic list.

For a team to be considered for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team award, they must have competed and compiled a team score at an NCAA Regional Meet. The team must also have a minimum 3.00 team cumulative grade point average.
