MACON, Ga. - The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its All-Academic Team honors with eight Atlantic Sun squads picking up the award.

Belmont, Lipscomb and Mercer led the way in the All-Academic Team honors with both their men’s and women’s squads getting the nod. The Bears’ women’s cross country team posted the best grade point average (GPA) in Atlantic Sun overall with a mark of 3.57. Mercer’s men’s squad posted the top GPA among male teams with a 3.43.

Atlantic Sun Women’s Cross Country champion UNF and Men's Cross Country Champion Kennesaw State joined the Bruins, Bisons on the All-Academic Lists. The A-Sun joined only 17 other conferences to feature both conference champions also earning All-Academic honors. In total, 45 conference champions received All-Academic recognition.
