NEW ORLEANS - The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released preseason regional rankings for the NCAA Division I 2011 season and seven A-Sun teams appeared in the top-15 of the South Region. Defending A-Sun Champions, Kennesaw State and North Florida appeared in the polls with the Owls' men's team landing in the No. 8 spot, while the Ospreys claimed No. 9 in the women's poll.

Belmont and Lipscomb placed both their men's and women's team in the preseason rankings. The Bruins earned 11th in the men's poll and 15th in the women's, while the Bisons appeared 10th in the women's and 13th in the men's rankings. The Ospreys men's team also earned a ranking taking 10th overall in the poll.

The A-Sun cross country schedule gets underway this weekend with the first meets being held on Friday.
