MACON, Ga. – USC Upstate's Jemeli Sang won her first collegiate race by defeating 113 other competitors at the Clemson Invitational, where she set a school record in the 6,000-meter race in a time of 20:42.88.

- First Career Runner of the Week award
- Set a school record in the 6K with a time of 20:42.88 at the Clemson Invitational
- Finished first in the race out of 114 competitors
- Sang's first collegiate win came against runners from No. 6 Florida State, Clemson, Georgia Tech and others
