Nixon Paces Ospreys to Second Meet Title; Earns A-Sun Honor

MACON, Ga. – North Florida's Erin Nixon guided the Ospreys to a team title at the Seminole Invitational with her fourth-place finish in a personal record time and in the process earned her first career Atlantic Sun Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week honor.

WOMEN’S RUNNER OF THE WEEK:
Erin Nixon, North Florida
(Sr. – Christchurch, New Zealand – English)
• First Career Runner of the Week award; first for North Florida since Sept. 26, 2007
• Set a personal record with 17:54.62 time in Seminole Invitational 5K race
• Crossed the finish line fourth in the meet of 162 runners
• Led the Ospreys to a first-place finish at the meet; UNF's second meet victory of the season

OTHER NOMINEES:
• Tessa Hoefle (So., Lipscomb) - Finished 41st at Stanford Invitational by setting personal best (21.46) in 6K race
• Barrie Cohen (Jr., FGCU) - Placed 33rd at UF Mountain Dew Invitational 5K race in 19:02.63
