MACON, Ga. -- North Florida's Sarah Coghlan was named Atlantic Sun Runner of
the Week following her performance at the Mountain Dew Invitational. Coghlan
finished sixth out of 191 runners in the 5K race with a career-best time of
17:53.98, helping the Ospreys to a seventh place finish.
The senior from Christchurch, New Zealand is an All-American winner from last
year and has led UNF to two top-10 finishes this season.
Coghlan and the rest of the cross country team returns to action Sept. 30 at
the Auburn Invitational.
The Atlantic Sun Conference announces the Athlete of the Week every Wednesday
during the 2006 cross country season.
The 10-member league headquartered in Macon, Ga., includes Belmont, Campbell,
ETSU, Gardner-Webb, Jacksonville, Kennesaw State, Lipscomb, Mercer, North Florida
and Stetson, with Florida Gulf Coast and USC Upstate to compete in 2007.
