MACON, Ga. - Kennesaw State's Mackenzie Howe added to her ever-growing resumé by earning her fourth Atlantic Sun Runner of the Week award after a runner-up finish at the Mercer RunFit Sports Invitational, the conference office announced on Wednesday.

Howe, who won Runner of the Week on September 3rd for winning at the Jacksonville State Invitational, finished second on the course that will also be the site for the 2008 Atlantic Sun Conference Cross Country Championship in a time of 17:55 helping the Owls to a second-place finish in the team event. Her time lowered the top 5K time by an A-Sun woman by over 30 seconds, a time previously established by USC Upstate’s Emily Tangwar three weeks earlier. The health and exercise sciences major from Watkinsville, Ga., defeated Tangwar at the Mercer RunFit Sports Invitational by 40 seconds.
