ETSU's Barton Shines at Lady Seahawk Invitational
Date Posted: 3/28/2006 WALLACE, N.C. – Senior Ashley Barton (Seffner, Fla.) enjoyed her best finish of the 2005-06 campaign, placing second on the individual leaderboard and helping lead the ETSU women’s golf team to a strong fourth-place finish Tuesday in the UNCW Lady Seahawk Invitational at the River Landing Golf Club. Barton, who posted a three-round score of 4-over 220 (73-76-71), tied with Kentucky’s Beth Felts for second place, while UNC Wilmington’s Michelle Jarmon took home the individual medalist honor with a score of 218. On the team leaderboard, the Bucs ended the event 13 strokes back of team champion Kentucky, which posted a final three-round score of 906. The fourth place finish was the best showing by the Lady Bucs since finishing third at the Lady Jaguar Invitational back on Nov. 7-8.
